Program Participation & Family Commitment.

Program Participation

Little Wings Foundation is designed to remove childcare barriers while supporting families on a pathway toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

To participate in our program once enrollment opens, parents or guardians commit to the following:

  • Active employment or enrollment in school, job training, or workforce development

  • Monthly meetings with case management and workforce development staff

  • Participation in required educational seminars or life-skills classes, which may include:

    • employment readiness

    • financial literacy

    • parenting support

    • housing stability

    • goal setting and self-sufficiency planning

These expectations allow us to partner meaningfully with families while supporting progress toward stability.

A Supportive, Not Punitive Model

We understand that stability is a journey.

Families who are not yet employed or enrolled are not automatically excluded. We work alongside parents to create individualized plans toward employment, education, or training through supportive case management and workforce development services.

All expectations are rooted in partnership, dignity, and encouragement, not punishment.

Information We May Ask For

To help us plan effectively and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all children, the pre-enrollment interest form may request:

  • Child’s age(s)

  • Parent or guardian contact information

  • Employment or school status

  • Current housing situation

  • Preferred start timeline

  • Consent for a drug screening (required prior to full enrollment)

At the pre-enrollment stage, full documentation and screening are not required. Drug screening is conducted later in the enrollment process and is intended to support child safety and family well-being, not to shame or exclude families.

Families who need support related to substance use will be connected with appropriate resources and guidance through case management.
